1099 Contract Licensed Therapists (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
Position Overview
Gateway Family Therapy and Wellness is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with trauma experience to join our practice as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate is passionate about trauma-informed care and comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth therapy services.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians seeking greater autonomy and flexibility while benefiting from administrative support, referral opportunities, office space access, and established clinical systems.
Responsibilities

Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy services in person at our Benton, AR location, with flexibility to provide telehealth services

Conduct intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement trauma-informed interventions

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans

Utilize Gateway-approved systems, including Simple Practice and Blueprint, for scheduling, documentation, and records management
-
Maintain ethical and legal standards of practice, including HIPAA compliance
-
Coordinate appropriately regarding scheduling, continuity of care, and client communication
-
Maintain all independent contractor requirements, including licensure, malpractice insurance, tax responsibilities, and independent business operations

Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related mental health field
-
Active, unrestricted Arkansas license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
-
Training and/or experience in trauma-focused therapy (e.g., CPT, EMDR, IFS, somatic therapies)
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
-
Ability to provide in-person therapy services at our Benton, AR office location, with flexibility for telehealth sessions

Passion for working with diverse populations and marginalized communities
-
Must maintain independent malpractice insurance coverage
-
Must maintain own business phone, business email, and equipment necessary for service delivery
Compensation & Support
-
60/40 revenue split based on collected payments for services rendered

Compensation for eligible missed appointment fees
-
Administrative, billing, credentialing, and marketing support provided

Access to office space and approved clinical systems (Simple Practice & Blueprint)

Flexibility and autonomy over schedule and caseload

Collaborative and supportive practice environment

Important Information
This is an independent contractor (1099) position and not a W-2 employment position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, malpractice insurance, equipment, and independent business operations.
Contractors maintain autonomy over their schedules, availability, and caseloads while coordinating appropriately with Gateway Family Therapy and Wellness regarding continuity of care and operational needs.
